In this dissertation, by using giant magnetostrictive thin films ( GMF ) as actuator, a biomimetic swimming micro robot is developed.
Since ocean contains giant natural resources, developing and using marine resources wisely is of great importance to human survival and development. Underwater robot is an important mean to study and exploit ocean.
One micro in-pipe robot with giant magnetostrictive alloy actuator is developed, and a new method, without power supply cable, to drive and control the micro robot through magnetic field outside pipe is put forward. Thereby, its reliability and feasibility is improved.
