Methods The transmission of Lucifer Yellow(LY) in cultural cells was observed by the methods of scrape-loading dye transfer.
Results : The apparent permeability coefficients ( Papp ) of Lucifer yellow and propranolol markers of the paracellular and transcellular respectively were all within the range of the reported ones.
METHODS : The techniques used in this study were brain slice patch clamping whole cell recording, lucifer yellow ( LY ) staining, immunofluorescence and laser scanning confocal microscopy ( LSCM ).
Methods Whole cell patch clamp recordings were made from RGCs in the acute retinal slices of Long Evans and Wistar rats aged postnatal 0-31 d. RGCs were stained with Lucifer Yellow(LY) diffused into cells during whole-cell recordings for the purpose of morphological study.
Lucifer yellow CH ( LY ) could pass through gap junction to neighboring cells, which were directly observed under inverted fluorescent microscope from different groups and at different hypoxia / reperfusion by scrape loading and dye transfer ( SLDT ).
