So you have recursion in a pseudo-language ( Template Toolkit(TT) ) to generate recursion in a layout language ( HTML ) running under Perl.
Look at the generated HTML for the actual JavaScript; you will use the Template Toolkit(TT) later in this series to do it right, but the idea was to make the script self-contained and simple.
