On the basis of von K á rm á n's geometrically nonlinear theory, equilibrium equations governing the axi-symmetrically large deformation of the FGM sallow conical shell under nonuniform thermal loadings are derived.
Based on the geometrically nonlinear theory of thin plates in von K á rm á n's version, the dynamic equations in terms of the middle plane displacements, governing the axially symmetrical large deflection of heated polar orthotopic circular / annular plates, are formulated.
In this paper, applying perturbation method to von Karman nonlinear large deflection equations of plates by taking deflection as perturbation parameter, the postbuckling behavior of simply supported rectangular plates under uniaxial compression is investigated.
