Stratification of Volatile Solid(VS) Content and Its Dynamics in the Process of Co-composting
Based on the conversion rate of organic matter of MSW, a new method for calculating LFG production has been proposed, in which the conversion rate of organic matter was estimated just by volatile solid content of MSW which can be measured easily.
The results show that Total Solid added and Volatile Solid(VS) decreased gradually in the wake of the addition of sludge depth in wastewater stabilization lagoons;
The results indicated that organic matter, volatile solid, humus ( HM ), free humic acid and fulvic acid [ w ( FA ) ] decreased constantly, but humic acid increased during the composting.
The results showed that the contents of volatile solid ( VS ) in composts and the VS differences in profiles of a pile could be reduced in all pile-turning treatments.
